Josué Mattos: At first sight, the erasure, the discarded object and anonymity seem starting points for a research that you develop in order to regroup different situations. You collect other people's experiences through informal conversations and, therefore, uses different media. In your work it is common the value of the meeting - as in the case of work that shows in this exhibition, the result of a research conducted in residence in Finland in 2013 - but it does not delete information from Conversely, the authenticity of which, being compromised, breaks the rules. What could be interesting in the first place is to think in these inconsistencies, who validates historical events to see them become fiction and, as a counterpoint, bring the factual dimension, but always incomplete history, for a possible reading, unlike what you heard, read or might experience in on-site search times.

Victor Leguy: Sounds interesting as some elements of the world constantly present to me, each time repeating the same scene, same story with a tiny detail that was not there in the first look. What was is no longer. Typically, the difference in question is minimal, but markedly changed the course of what comes next, which makes me pay attention to the erasure ratio, as it presents itself, acting to change what was already sure what it was, and repositions information permanently to his performance be repeated, following a new course. At this point there is a very clear approach, in my view, with the particularity of discarded objects. In them there is the possibility of reframing, since they already have a history of "life", a path in time, that kind of "baggage" needed to become unique in some way. It makes me draw similarities and differences that relate readily with other elements, like him, are about to enter and who may have been separated by time and yet are steeped in experience ready to be connected and energized. Transiting through all this is the question of anonymity, which acts as a sort of present body in every situation, abstaining identity, but implementing specific actions. These points are directly related to this kind of gathering experiences of others; these stories are molded according to the time that are told and now belong to me too, but usually separate into two groups - the first - through the transcript, the words spoken are safeguarded as were loose, so that there is total fidelity in this record. And the second - the interpretation that remains of these places and facts, but that is added to other variants that moment it is placed as the record that I am making.

JM: The size of the failure is something that you realize how crucial point in his work. She seems to build the starting point for intransitive narratives medium without rhyme or reason, just because they make the possibility of failure, even if occasional, giving rise to unforeseen situations. As the front of the failure raising the view of the back and vice versa.

VL:
Yes, indeed, the failure point is taking me great attention; it serves as a port, slot that allows something new to emerge, flourish, connect, giving new meaning or rearranging a gap within any subject or medium to which we look. It also sets as inevitable, because actually it is. So, how to handle it? Deepening a little more in maths systems, we come across the concept of fault tolerance, which was originally presented by Avizienis in 1967. In this process, the systems absorb mechanical or computational form this new information (fault). However, strategies to build more reliable systems were already used since the construction of the first computers. Although involving as old techniques and strategies, fault tolerance is not yet a routine concern of designers and users. There is also a retention factor and caution systems used in the duplication, which is used to replace components with permanent faults and also for the error detection, that then the two units synchronously execute the same action, which makes us think of another issue related to quantum physics and mathematics, duplication of universes, the realities of parallelism (subject I want to address later). Back to the broader process involving failures, when a failure gives rise to something new, we judge a door, a path through what before was a mistake, and thus takes us to something that, in principle, not seems harmful. On the other hand, when the opposite happens, catastrophic consequences are thus leaving aside the computational part of the human is in very rarely detected and acts exponentially in the process.
JM: Still on the people with whom you cross and you picture, as you said, some were found personally and in other documents whose origin nebula allows even think about what they were or what they are, if there are still as historical subject, because can be another anonymous history. And among so many dysfunctional guidelines, the disjointed groupings and the anachronistic temporality, these figures, when they arrive at their work, often lose the identity. They become a kind of ghost that wanders, alternating the direction of history. Thus a triangulation built between identity, history and fiction could be the cue for you elaborate on these points that appear frequently in his work, who seem to think the subject as one who wanders aimlessly and defined origin.

VL:
I think particularly curious how the mechanism of memory in the process of the stories. I have seen myself to the fact that every time he happened a part of history was changed in the same way that a flow of correlations is presented because they are systematically retold from generation to generation by descendants after by the descendants of the children, a kind sound wave propagating, expands, as a kind of strange and chaotic tithe. It occurs to me, still, an analogy that fits well in this case: two friends meet and talk; then one part to the other and a city to another, but still encounter memory. Each will finding other different people successively, and the information in the initial conversation propagates in the meetings that follow; This flow is similar correlations for all systems formed by several particles (gases, liquids, etc.) that include an increased amount of particles. Then comes a second species of time, not connected to individual molecules, or to each of the individuals, but the relationships between molecules or in case people maybe a kind of residual memory that has not defined a subject with many or no.
JM: While some of these issues seem to mobilize artists from different parts of the world, causing one or the other problem becomes commonplace of contemporary art, you keep a firm interest in finding a way to put the world . Obviously, the way you were looking for does not seem to be the uniqueness - very situation required in the process of registration mark that favors the market to move here and there with your favorite artists. So it seems to me appropriate to talk about their understanding of ideas as path and trajectory in contemporary art. Since their work is, to some extent, a compliment to the displacement, the tread and the digging, it seems interesting to think about how you integrate it that mobilizes with the trajectory of the concept linked to the artist himself.

VL: Path and trajectory, the space we are occupying and decided to draw the line to come up with something, somewhere - the artist, in my view, constantly wanders in a land where little can actually see, see, something certificate, feeling of constant half-light - part one can see, part no. I think it is beautiful the fact tatearmos something that constantly changes shape, because our vision changes; the artist is the observer and a mere extra in the Cartesian universe we live in, but shall directly affect the observed phenomenon. Within the research I have done, the data and information contained therein, that support, which attest, are updated constantly receive at all times, information that becomes part of the work until the time you leave the place where I am producing. I feel a kind of artist-observer - depending on experience conceived to study the phenomenon, I who will ultimately, decide what you want to see if the particle aspect or wave aspect to that place myself. The material world, therefore, is presented as interaction between the observer and the observed, are inseparable.
